Sea Art Festival
Founded in 1987 as the pre-Olympics event of the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, the Sea Art Festival utilizes the sea and natural environment as exhibition space for showcasing site-specific art installations. It has been critical in public art, extending its exhibition space beyond traditional indoor spaces and blending nature with art.
